Well worth the few miles out of your way.

This is not Sea World! Visitors that think it’s an amusement park are going to be sadly disappointed. It a place with excellent staff that is dedicated to caring for sea life, a research marine facility.  It’s a must for learning about the environment and helping our ecosystem. Makes you aware of what’s going on in the world. The entrance fee goes to support their non-profit mission of rescue, rehabilitate, and return.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium

This is not a marine park that exploits animals for profit, so this is a perfect way to get up close and personal with sea life as they are a non profit rescue hospital. They remind you often that they are not an entertainment facility. Everything is for the best interest of the animal. Enjoy every second of your visit to CMA and you won’t be able to wait to return again in the future!

Steve, these guys deserve all the accolades and support they get.I like these places as they are helping us appreciate the other life-forms that inhabit this planet and, just as important, they are not exploiting their guests. Thank you for bringing this to us. I shall share this blog so others can read and appreciate.
    Barry.

What is really sad Barry , going to their web site and seeing all the negative comments like, we had more fun at Sea World. Tourist… They are why I don’t pay any income taxes but sometimes, I wish they would leave their money at the border and go home.

      • Ross-Barry Finlayson says:

My feelings exactly Steve. Too much attention is payed to the tourist dollar with no regard for for other issues.
