Ocala’s Horse Fever Horses Graze in Historic Downtown Ocala

Went up to visit family in Ocala, Florida so I thought it was only appropriate to show one of the uniqueness of this area.

Finding Ocala’s ‘Horse Fever‘ horses in the Historic Downtown area (“Brick City”) leads one to searches across the streets, highways and Ocala horse farms for the opportunity to find more of them for more photographs. Ocala, in Marion County, is considered the ‘Horse Capital of the World.’ Horse Fever thrives in Ocala!

Ocala is also home to the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association on Airport Road, very close to Ocala Breeders Sales grounds. What more could a horse lover ask?

There are over 80 horses around Ocala, so hop on a bike and go out and find them on your own!

Note: this slide show has been added to include the 2011 10th anniversary Horse Fever additions! They can be identified by a white background and the blue OCALA ribbon in the top left corner.

One Response to Ocala’s Horse Fever Horses Graze in Historic Downtown Ocala

  1. Ross-Barry Finlayson says:

I am quite partial to art, and the thought of wandering-about a town, with sculptures such as these dotted-about, would be a great way to spend the day.
